Terms of play
Last updated: 4 October 2026
1. Who we are
Estate Hold'em ("the game") is run by MYWoRLD / The Estate as part of everystreethasastory.uk. You can contact us at mindmoves3@gmail.com. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.
2. A social game, not gambling
Estate Hold'em is a social casino-style game. It's for entertainment only. You can't win money, money's worth or any prize. Doing well in the game, including in leagues and clubs, gets you nothing outside the game. Playing it doesn't mean you'll do well at real-money gambling.
3. You must be 18 or over
You must be at least 18 to play. We ask you to confirm your age before you start. If we have reason to think a player is under 18, we'll close the account.
4. Chips
- Chips are a limited, personal licence to use a feature of the game. You don't own them, and they aren't money, currency or property.
- Chips have no cash value. They can't be cashed out, withdrawn, refunded for money, sold, transferred, gifted, traded or swapped, either inside or outside the game.
- Free chips come with the game: a welcome stack, a daily claim and a refill if you run low. Amounts can change.
- We may adjust balances to fix mistakes, bugs or abuse. If the game closes, chips end with it and nothing is owed for them.
- Buying, selling or trading chips or accounts with anyone, anywhere, is not allowed. It gets accounts closed.
5. Purchases (not available yet)
There is no chip shop right now. Everything in the game is free. If we add optional purchases later:
- they'll be for entertainment only and will buy chips with no cash value;
- prices will be shown in pounds, including VAT, before you pay. Payments will be handled by Stripe, and we never see your full card details;
- chips are digital content that's delivered straight away. When you buy, we'll ask you to agree to immediate delivery and to accept that you lose the 14-day right to cancel;
- purchases are non-refundable, except where UK consumer law says otherwise (for example, if what you bought is faulty or isn't delivered). Your legal rights aren't affected;
- you'll be able to set daily and monthly spending limits. Lowering a limit works straight away.
6. Fair play and computer players (bots)
- Cards are shuffled on our server using a cryptographic random number generator. Before each hand we publish a fingerprint of the deck, and we reveal the deck afterwards so the shuffle can be checked. See Fair play.
- Some tables include computer players, called bots, so there's always a game going. Bots are always clearly labelled "BOT" at the table. They don't see your cards or the deck, and they play by the same rules as everyone else. Practice tables are you against bots only, and practice results don't count towards leagues.
- Not allowed: cheating, collusion, chip dumping, using more than one account to gain an edge, bots or automation you run yourself, exploiting bugs, and harassment. Quick-chat and names must stay friendly. Use the report button if something's wrong.
7. Your account
You play under a display name and avatar you pick. Keep your device and recovery code safe, because anyone who has them can use your account. You can stop playing at any time. To delete your account, email us (see the Privacy notice).
8. When we can suspend or close accounts
We can warn, suspend or close an account, reset league results, or block features if these terms are broken, if we suspect someone is under 18, or to protect other players. Where it's safe to, we'll tell you why.
9. The service
The game is free and provided "as is". We'll try to keep it running and fair, but it may change, pause or stop, and features may be added or removed. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for losses that come from using a free game, including lost chips or league positions.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we'll show a notice in the game.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
